He/him
I am so ADHD I have an entire Undergraduate degree's worth of Elective credits (128) in my undergraduate portfolio. I had to switch schools due to some family needs but while I was attending the University of Alabama I was designing my own degree in the New College program. This let me really explore my thirst for knowledge, which let me round out my capabilities. I am familiar with many forms of thought and like seeing where unconventional solutions can bring greater success. Examples of my work can be seen on my website: https://alex-layton.com/

My ADHD allows me to take in Big Picture information and synthesize it into smaller packets without the excess noise that usually comes with that process. I have a keen understanding of "unnecessary" information because I can often only pull it in if it connects back to the big picture. Also, I am full of ideas and constant failure in innovation is only an encouragement, sometimes it is better for my first ideas to fail because it helps me fill in gaps that I would have missed otherwise, and while I understand this is not necessarily unique the feeling of happiness I get at trying (succeed or fail) is tied to my inability to focus. I am referring to a lack of object permanence, a built in "out of sight, out of mind" where moving on to the next necessary iteration is all part of the fun. I can multitask and drill down simultaneously because thinking about one thing is unattainable anyway.
