About Me

I have been working as a Travel & Expense Specialist for the past 4 years using the Chrome River program. I helped to set up the program and I am the Administrator of that program. I truly love working with travel and expenses, expense reports, and encumbrances. The only reason I am leaving my current job is that they moved our department out of our individual offices and into a wide open glass room with cubicles. I have tried earplugs, noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, and loud music in my headphones and nothing has helped. I would love to stay in this career field, but I am willing to try out anything with these accommodations! I am reasonable and will not request a lot. Most of my office aides were purchased by me so I can take them with me to whatever job I get. I would prefer to work from home but I am keeping my options open. I am married with 3 dogs and I love to sew. I served 8 years in the Air Force as a surgery technician and I was a supervisor for 2 years before getting out.

Ideal Workplace Values

I would like a quiet workspace with employees who are non-judgemental and understanding of neurodiverse people. When I am working I get really focused and don't usually notice other things happening unless it is directly in my field of vision. I would love to have coworkers that work well together and work together to solve big problems.

Neuroexceptional Talents

I am very good at detail work, I can easily see patterns and errors, and if something is level without a level. I really enjoy digging into a project and my hyper focus kicks in and I can usually get the project done really quickly, if I am not interrupted, without sacrificing the quality of the work.
