Carolina Mellado

I was born in Puerto Rico and my family has strong connections to the Island, and we visit almost every summer. I graduated from @Landmark College with a degree in Liberal Arts. Landmark College is located in Putney, Vermont. I am one of the founders and leaders of the Pa’lante Center, which was part of my college’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts. This center celebrates all Latin-X cultures.The center aims to provide a place where students of Latinx background can come together and to promote that all students and teachers learn more about the wonders of our great cultures and the current issues that we face today. Another job that I hold during the academic year was student campus ambassador, which I liked very much because it keept me well connected to the vibe of the school. My personal interests and hobbies include: writing, culture and diversity, history and watching movies. I would describe myself as kind, outgoing, and always looking to stay positive no matter what. I like to work hard, and I love helping others. I also had the honor during the spring of 2023 to be a part of Amazon's College Tours series for their episode on Landmark College.
