Neuroexceptional Talents

I've read where people with ADHD can develop a coping mechanism called hyper-focus that allows them to focus on a single task for extended periods of time. I have that, I can easily work 12 hours on the same task from start to completion without taking a break. In addition, when I am at work, I tend to focus intently on getting tasks done, and although I make friends easily at work, I often only talk to people during appropriate times - like breaks, lunch, get togethers, etc... I also have depression which has lead me to discovering how to fully express what I am feeling and understand what I am feeling and why I am feeling it. Which has allowed me to be able to better control my emotions and as a result I am able to better articulate what is going on with me which helps with working out problems with co-workers. I am also very empathic to what others are feeling / thinking and very aware of how what I do or say may impact another. Put all of this together, plus my intentional personal development and I have become a very emotionally intelligent person and tend to do well leading groups of people because I can easily diffuse intense situations.
