Neuroexceptional Talents

Being a neurodivergent individual has helped through the hyperfocus that tends to accompany people with ADHD (albeit sometimes on the wrong things). When I find something I love, I tend to dedicate a lot of myself to it -- and software engineering has become something that I've grown very fond of within the last couple of years. Attending a program to hone those skills allowed me to take the love and interest that I already had for this subject matter, and apply it in a professional setting. I was able to take on tasks that I had not faced before such as learning new technologies as well as learning how to work seamlessly in teams using communicative tools such Slack and Trello in order to maintain an efficient ticketing system for task management.
