Tapestry Solutions supports 85 defense, commercial and government customers from over 50 US locations and nine countries.Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking an DevSecOps Engineer in Omaha, NE. In this position you will work in a diverse environment that allows you to get into every aspect of infrastructure, configuration, and software deployment across the software development lifecycle. You will use your experience to guide the definition, implementation, and delivery of programs focused on improving an assortment of software systems.Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Leverage open-source and in-house tools to manage infrastructure via code, designing reusable infrastructure components for scalable, highly-available, secure architectures for container-based and non-container-based applications.</li><li>Assist in providing input and expertise to senior engineers to maintain alignments with best practices and recommending system improvements while overseeing the automated deployment, roll-back, and monitoring of applications into software development, test, and production environment.</li><li>Mentor fellow DevOps engineers as needed.</li><li>Develop automated CI/CD build/deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker/Podman, and Ansible.</li><li>Apply DevOps expertise to ensure congruence of the various infrastructure, software, configurations and interfaces maintained under configuration control.</li><li>Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums; communicating and collaborating frequently with teammates to ensure successful completion of project objectives.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system issues.</li><li>Proactively and independently identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks.</li></ul>This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.We will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):<ul><li>Experience designing, building and deploying DevOps pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.</li><li>Experience designing and implementing application deployment pipelines and developing software in a containerized environment with Kubernetes and Docker.</li><li>Full software lifecycle automation experience (design, development, test, deployment), including deployment to a production environment.</li><li>Experience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar technologies.</li><li>Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS.)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):<ul><li>Top-Secret clearance</li><li>Experience developing and deploying software in a DoD environment (DISA experience is a plus), including experience building and deploying software applications that meet DoD security standards and updating applications and code to meet security scans and security implementation guidelines (e.g. STIGs).</li><li>Experience designing and building automated software testing pipelines using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, Junit and/or other applicable tools.</li><li>Experience designing, developing and deploying software in a cloud environment (AWS is a plus).</li><li>Experience with static code analysis, particularly security scans.</li><li>Kubernetes certification such as CKA or CKAD</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of DevOps trends and technologies.</li><li>Working knowledge of Git and experience with development workflows in GitLab, Bitbucket or an equivalent tool.</li><li>Experience with Kubernetes application deployment/management tools such as Helm or Kustomize</li><li>Experience working with Agile software development teams and implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery practices. </li><li>Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Professional cybersecurity certification such as Security+, or similar</li></ul>Typical Education &amp; Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
