Job Title: Head of Finance, Renewvia Kenya

Location: Nairobi (This role does not offer relocation; you must be in area for this role however, role will be mostly remote with your ability to travel to project sites as needed)

Renewvia is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead and manage our financial operations in Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to support our business growth and ensure financial sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with Renewvia's business goals and objectives.
• Provide financial leadership and oversight to the Kenya team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and forecast, including financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making.
• Develop and manage financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decisions, including project feasibility analysis, capital expenditure analysis, and financial risk analysis.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity, including forecasting and managing working capital requirements.
• Develop and manage financial controls and processes, including accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and manage relationships with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, including experience in financial leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial modeling.
• Experience in managing budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working in the renewable energy sector is a plus.
• Experience working in Kenya is a plus.
