Although I have not received an official diagnosis, I’m confident I’m in search for a neurodivergent-friendly workplace. Because my passion lies in DEIB, specifically disability and LGBTQ+inclusion, a psychologically safe and inclusive workplace is paramount. Allow me to clarify, Im not interested in organizations simply engaging in lip service to DEIB. I consider myself a Change Maker and Relationship Builder, with beliefs heavily rooted in servant leadership. I value open, honest transparent communication and I will not settle for anything less within the workplace.
Ideal Workplace Values
The values of an ideal workplace consist of many factors. First and foremost, the workplace should allow for collaboration, without hesitation. In simpler terms, all individuals should be given the opportunity to feel seen, heard and valued. Secondly, I’m searching for organizations that are not simply hyper focused on the D (Diversity) in DEIB, but rather organizations taken the necessary measures to achieve equitable inclusion. Finally, an ideal workplace allows for creative, outside of the box thinking, when problem solving.
